***** DARK SHADOWS FEATURED IN TONIGHT'S EPISODE OF "MAD MEN"
***** AMC'S DRAMA SERIES "MAD MEN" REFERS TO DARK SHADOWS
Speculation now is confirmed: DS is mentioned in tonight's (May 13) episode of "Mad Men."
The AMC acclaimed drama series takes place in the high-pressure world of Manhattan's cutthroat advertising industry during the 1960s. The show is known for integrating clear references to real events and social trends during the years in which specific episodes take place (ie: the Cuban missile crisis, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, etc.).
Tonight's all-new episode (10:00pm ET/PT) sets "Mad Men" in 1966, the year DS premiered. This episode actually is titled "Dark Shadows." (MAD MEN – Season 5, Episode 9)
